3 weeks old and counting!

These first 3 weeks with Piper have been very busy! Her first Thanksgiving, her first Christmas shopping trip, her first visit with Santa (yes it was at our home! Santa came to us. Thank YOU, SANTA!), and her first bath.

Kyleigh has taken very well to being a big sister. She loves her sister so much that sometimes it is very hard for Piper to sleep because her big sister loves talking to her and showing her things. Kyleigh is a tremendous help though. She loves getting the pacie and diapers for Piper.

We are getting somewhat better at night. Piper is sleeping longer periods here and there. Which is nice. We are all excited about our first Christmas as 4!

I wanna hold the baby...

Kyleigh came to visit us again last night. She asked Piper to blow bubbles, even though last time she thought it was "yucky". After she did a dance and showed Piper all her toys, she all the sudden said " i want to hold the baby" so of course with a lot of assistance we jumped at he opportunity for some bonding and really cute pictures.

Happy Birthday, Piper Elaine!

Well, early this morning Piper Elaine was born! At 8:47 a.m. a 7 lbs. 9 oz. Piper arrived. She was 19 and 3/4 inches long. She came out just a kicking! The doctor said he'd never seen a baby trying to do the splits within seconds of life. We were so proud. She just latched on like a pro and is sleeping soundly right now. I wish I could say the same about Mommy.

Kyleigh enjoyed her time in the waiting room and enjoyed seeing her baby. She is also enjoying her time with Nana and Paw Paw. I miss my little girl. She enjoyed all the people and she gave Piper many kisses- all of which we DIDN'T catch on camera! That's how it always happens! We have had non stop visitors- between the nurses and many family and friends. We are looking forward to some rest now and can't wait to see all our new visitors tomorrow! She is so precious we couldn't keep her to ourselves any longer!

One week and counting!

In one week we will have a new baby girl! We are slowly getting ready. Although I am not sure you can be 100 percent ready for a baby. Well laid plans and all. Kyleigh is ready for "baby Piper" she has helped us put together all the little baby gear. And she stills likes to put her baby dolls to nap in the crib. Right now she is taking a bath and it sounds like her Daddy might be having too much fun. That usually means a lot of water on the floor for later! Giggling is good...

Happy Halloween...I am a Duckie!

We went Trick or Treating yesterday. Kyleigh was the cutest duckie ever! she loved getting candy in her pumpkin. She had so much fun. At one house the man who answered the door said "look at the cute chicken!" Kyleigh yelled "I am a duckie! Quack Quack!" It was very funny! Even the man laughed! We are in the countdown stages for Piper. We have 3 weeks as of today until she arrives. We are all very excited.

pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins galore...

So, it has been awhile but we have been busy. We finally found the time to go to the pumpkin patch and get pumpkins. Unfortunately the weather has been all rainy the past weeks. So, it was a little cold. We went today to get Kyleigh's flu shot and I found out that she weighs 33.8 pounds. My goodness. I remember when she only weighed 9 pounds.
We have also finalized the date of Piper's C-section for November 22. Hopefully, that will get us home the day before Thanksgiving.
Any way, enjoy the wonderfully cute pictures of our Kyleigh!

At the County Fair!

Last Friday we went to the fair. Last year at the fair Kyleigh did not like any rides except the live pony ride. This year she rode everything she could! And loved it! She also ate a HUGE corn dog, popcorn, onion rings, and a lot of water. She loved looking at the cows and goats as well! As you see the bull was very friendly! And ENORMOUS! Kyleigh was not too sure about him. I was not too sure about the horns, either.

Happy Labor Day!!!!

Happy Labor Day! What a great 3 day holiday! Our weekend started out where I received a phone call from our babysitter that Kyleigh had thrown up. So, i left school 30 minutes early...boss lady said no prob... and rush home. Only to find my "sick" daughter running around outside while the babysitter tried to get the throw up out of her car. She had gotten a little too hot was all. Anyway, the weekend went much better. On Saturday we went shopping for food and then out to Red Lobster with Nana and Paw paw. Very fun... Then on Sunday we went to Helen with Scott, Erin, Sloane, and bay Ethan. The girls had fun watching their Daddies try to fish. They also played on the playground and ate ice cream. Mommy tried to start the grill.. not much success. The man at the table next to us had to start it (the Daddies were off buying fishing stuff). Then today we did nothing but buy plants at Home Depot and hang out at the house...

Here are some pictures from Sunday:

More pictures....

Right after I finished the very brief post with the sneak peek of Piper. I located more wonderful pictures of Kyleigh. From last weekend when we went to Stone Mountain and also pictures of her BIG girl bed. Although the sleeping in the big girl bed is still a work in progress, she does LOVE to read and bounce on it. the sleeping will come. We think her 2 year molars are coming in And she must be growing bigger because we had to buy her new shoes! only months after buying her shoes in MAY!

Sneak peek at .....

Jonathan and I went to the doctor's today for my glucose levels test. ECK! That drink is awful. We also got to see Alli, the ultrasound tech. We got to see Piper today and everything looks great. Dr. L was also back from vacation so, I finally got to see my OWN doctor instead of his midwife. Not that she was bad, but... Anyway, here is the sneak peek!

We also have some very cute pictures of Kyleigh at the park.
