Halloween and more...

Sorry it took so long to post Halloween photos. By the time I got got the CD from Wal-mart Kyleigh had the stomach flu AND another double ear infection. Dr. Martin has referred us to a specialist. We have to wait until the infection goes away before we can go and see him though. It is looking like we are going to have tubes in her ears in the near future. Poor baby. But she has been a trooper for the most part. She doesn't like the feeling in her tummy right before she throws up. But other than that. But because she couldn't keep anything down- the Dr. gave her a S H O T! Poor sweetie. any way enjoy the pictures. We will have Thanksgiving pictures before to long!

Kyleigh and the deer...

On Sunday mid day , we took Kyleigh to the Yellow River Game Ranch. Now, to those of you who don't live in the area- the Game Ranch is a rehabilitation center for wild animals found in Georgia. Your admissions basically helps the place maintain the animals. IT is also home to General Lee- the official gofer of the state of Georgia. He tells us when spring will come. Any way, there are deer and squirrels and chickens and ducks and geese running all over the place! They also have donkeys and pigs and black bears, coyotes, mountain lions- of course these are caged! And Kyleigh wanted nothing to do with the animals that were caged! So, she ran around and screamed and giggled at all the deer! She had so much fun!

Halloween and more!

I know! I am horrible with keeping every one updated! We have bought Kyleigh a costume- she is going to be a panda bear! We also went to the pumpkin patch. And with report cards being due I have been completely busy with school! So here are the cute pictures.

Okay, let me tell you about the pumpkin patch. We rode on a cow train, pet a lot of goats and cows, and of course bought a pumpkin! Today we went to the doctor to get shots! Ouch, but we also found out Kyleigh is 33 inches tall and 25.6 pounds! Our baby is growing up fast! We have also decided to go to Hilton Head for Thanksgiving with my side of the family! We can't wait!

Darn the Ear infection...

So, Kyleigh went back to the doctor today and low and behold...she has another double ear infection! They put her on a medicine I can't pronounce, cefdinir. It smells like bubble gum. She like it so far. I don't know what we are going to do with her poor ears. I know that both he Daddy and I had horrible trouble with our ears. She is just so sweet.. Poor thing is miserable. But the doc did give us the okay to alternate Tylenol and Motrin every four hours for the next two days to help ease the pain until the med takes full effect! Keep her in your thoughts today. she did get weighed while there and she weigh 25 lbs! Good Grief! She is growing up so FAST!

Kyleigh at the fair

So, over the weekend the family and I went to the fair. Kyleigh was only tall enough to ride 2 rides. The merry go around and some Dumbo flying ride. She did not enjoy either. So we walked around the animals and laughed at the cows, goats, and oxen...yes oxen! Then we spotted a real live pony ride! Which I couldn't resist when she started pointing and saying "Puppy! Puppy!" So, Daddy walked beside her and I took a ton of pictures! Her pony was the smallest one out there! She loved it as long as the pony was moving.

kyleigh and the horrible ear infection/virus

Okay, so today was not a wonderful day. Kyleigh had a little bit of a temperature yesterday. I gave her some Motrin and it went down. I took her to Bright Start in the morning and left for work. She was very sleepy but no fever. I get a call at 1:40ish today from her teacher. Kyleigh has a fever of 101.5 can I please come pick her up. I call Amy to see if she is in Winder and can pick her up. I find that Amy is right across the street picking up her middle schooler because he has a fever of 102. GREAT! Well, I of course can never leave school before 3:30 ish- even when I am trying to. When I go to pick her up from Amy's I discover that her teacher told Amy that she had runny stools twice today. Hello?! Should that have been mentioned at 1:40?! So, I call the doctor and she says restrict her diet, call if temperature moves to 104 or higher. (god bless Dr. Martin- as much as I call her she tells me I am not the parent that she groans when a message is left for her.) So, Jonathan is taking a day off tomorrow to stay with her because Kyleigh can't return to school for 24 hours. geez! Which I totally understand , by the way. I just want to stay home with her. But, I can't - we have CoGAT testing tomorrow and I want that $100 gift card visa at the end of the year. We'll see... Just keep Kyleigh in your thoughts as well fall into...the dreaded ear infection stage!

Double Ear infection, Where have you been?

Well, it has finally happened. The baby has her first double ear infection. My husband and i got them all the time when we were little, so we were just waiting for the shoe to come crashing down on our babies head! We went to Daytona Beach to visit the grandparents over Labor Day weakened. And she just seemed to get so cranky all of a sudden. So, I left work a teeny bit early and we visited Dr. Martin ( who I happen to think is the best doctor EVER!) She looked in right away and said "OOOH, this is the real deal! We need some amoxicillin." Then as she was filling out the prescription she told me, don't worry if she develops a rashj. It happens sometimes on this med. Well, Kyleigh has been on the amoxicillin for 2 days and still no rash! Too bad it could poop up on day 5! Nothing else big is happening. I am swamped with the new school year, but the kids are great! Jonathan is tired, as usual. And we are still waiting to hear back from the loan officers about the new house! Cross your fingers!

Bright Star Learning Center

Well, Kyleigh has survived her first week in day care. She actually seems to enjoy the kids while she is there. They finger paint every day and read stories and play outside. Other than the drop off- she cries- the teachers tell me that she plays and smile and laughs. which is good because I don't have any where else to let her be while I am at work. School started Friday. My new class seems very quiet and rule following. We will see how that goes. I just wanted to update everyone. We are in the process of purchasing a builder pre foreclose. It is unfinished. It just needs floors and kitchen equipment and a little cosmetic here and there. We are very excited. We got a great deal on it. Keep us in your thoughts as we enter the contracting and loan phase! Hope everyone is well!

Long time, No News...

Okay, I know it has been a long time in coming for this update. But I have been super busy taking advantage of my summer with Kyleigh. Her birthday party on June 28 was a huge hit! We had over 40 people there. It is a good thing that we had a tent up in the back yard and a jumpy castle for the kids. There is a picture of the birthday girl in the Disney Castle. We have also gone the the laser show and the Georgia Aquarium. Daddy now has Saturdays off and we have been enjoying them. Oh! We also went to see Grandma and Grandpa Bare in Daytona Beach, FL Kyleigh took her first boat ride there!. I told you we have been busy little bees. School starts next Monday and Kyleigh will be venturing to Day Care. I am a little nervous for her. but I bet once she gets used to it, she will LOVE it. I hear all kids do! Well, enjoy the pictures and keep an eye out for updates!

Well, yesterday was the last day of school for the kids! I have three more to go. I can not wait for summer vacation. Kyleigh's birthday is right around the corner. I have some pictures from yesterday. My oldest nephew, Willie, graduated from 5th grade. I have a picture of the three of us during the 5th grade farewell parade. I also have some pictures from Kyleigh's first swim in the pool. She LOVED it!

Summer Approaches...

Well, Friday was Field Day at Bethlehem Elementary, which is where I work. Whew! That was a lot of work. Field Day at BES is put together by the gym teacher and then lead by each classroom teacher. I had to know 20 some odd stations and the directions for 3 second grade classrooms. I was tired! I only have two more weeks with the students! I will offically be done with the school year on June 11! Only to return to the classroom on August 11! Ahhhhh, two whole months!
Any way, after that Kyleigh and I had a unrestful afternoon. She didn't take her afternoon nap until 5:30 p.m. When she finally did sleep, I got busy on addressing her first birthday party invites. YAY! We have set the party date as June 28. Which most of you know is the day after he real birthday! I am very excited. Jonathan has made a list of things to do to the yard, of course. It must be a man thing! I just can't wait for her to tear into a chocolate cake! I don't have any new pictures, yet. Just wanted y'all to know we are still here!

Happy Mother's Day

Well, we woke up early on our first Mother's Day with Kyleigh here! She woke up around 7:30 a.m. She is not a late sleeper. Although she has been asleep this afternoon for an hour now... This morning Kyleigh (and Daddy) gave me an ipod shuffle. To help me work out. We've joined the YMCA and I can't use the machines and have my CD player...it skips. I am very excited! They had to find an Apple store. My shuffle is red. An exclusive..only found at Apple stores. It is my favorite color. Then while Kyleigh took her morning nap around 9:30 I went to Walmart for food and what not. (My ipod was charging.) Then when I got back we got ready and went to Nana's (Jonathan's Momma) Everyone was there. Nana, Paw Paw, Dwayne and Melanie, Amy, Chris, Willie and Gage, And Aleisha and Nick... There are 13 of us when we are all in a room together. 3 under the age of 12. You can see us up at the top. Dwayne brought his 3 dogs...which Kyleigh enjoyed. So, Mother's Day has been a hit so far. I am off to finish grading papers and doing laundry! Wish me luck! Isn't my Kyleigh so cute? And you can also see pictures of my in laws...they are pretty cute, too...Although Kyleigh takes the cake! We are now in a count down to Father's Day and Kyleigh's 1st BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Kyleigh's Big girl bath...

So, Kyleigh's Nana bought her a tub seat, which she has happily sat in for 6 months now. The other day she tried to climb out and we realized it was time for her to take the step into big girl baths. SO, I went to Walmart and bought a no slip mat for the bottom of her tub. I put the mat down, filled up the bath with her favorite bubbles and floating toys (one of them happens to be that HUGE rubber duckie you see her hugging further down...). The bath is ready. I undress the baby. I put her in the tub..... She starts to cry! She doesn't like baths with out her seat. So I got in with her. She immediately started to splash and giggle and make a wet mess! But I know that tonight's bath will go better because she survived her first big girl bath! I am going to see if I can find a picture of her in the tub seat....I found one, although it is from January.

Kyleigh slept where?!

Kyleigh slept last night in her crib, by herself, until 2 am. She rolled over and wanted her pacie. Jonathan just decided to pick her up and bring her to bed. He didn't want to stand over the crib and hold her hand for a few minutes. I don't blame him. Anyway, that is the big update for now. I think a new picture would be nice...

Kyleigh could be walking....

Kyleigh was at Nana's the other day. Nana wathces her while I am at work. Nana is Jonathan mother's, by the way. Nana said she took 3 steps by herself. I know it isn't much but it's a start! I am so excited! Right this very minute she is taking a nap in her crib. This would be the first time she has slept in it. I know lots of people say co- sleeping is bad, but I was sleeping throught the night by month 2. I have friends whose kids are still not sleeping through the night completely. So, it works for us. But it is mow time to start the transition to her own bed. First with naps and then we will begint he night transitions. Okay, I am going to post a few photos for your viewing pleasure!

If you've been invited to this blog, then you must know us by name. There are 3 of us right now, Jonathan, Jamie, and Kyleigh. Kyleigh was born last June. She is now 9 months old. she can wave bye bye and say o-oh! and bye bye as well as babble a number of sounds. She likes to take baths and play outdoors. Life has changed a lot for both Jon and I. I have decided to work part time next year, in order to spend more time at home with Kyleigh. YAY! She has been crawling for 2 weeks now. We went to the doctor March 31st and she is 29 inches long and 19 pounds and 15 ounces. Dr. Martin said she is a string bean. Well that is really all the updated news we have. I am putting some pictures up for you all to see how much she has grown! These were taken two weeks ago.
