I wanna hold the baby...

Kyleigh came to visit us again last night. She asked Piper to blow bubbles, even though last time she thought it was "yucky". After she did a dance and showed Piper all her toys, she all the sudden said " i want to hold the baby" so of course with a lot of assistance we jumped at he opportunity for some bonding and really cute pictures.

Happy Birthday, Piper Elaine!

Well, early this morning Piper Elaine was born! At 8:47 a.m. a 7 lbs. 9 oz. Piper arrived. She was 19 and 3/4 inches long. She came out just a kicking! The doctor said he'd never seen a baby trying to do the splits within seconds of life. We were so proud. She just latched on like a pro and is sleeping soundly right now. I wish I could say the same about Mommy.

Kyleigh enjoyed her time in the waiting room and enjoyed seeing her baby. She is also enjoying her time with Nana and Paw Paw. I miss my little girl. She enjoyed all the people and she gave Piper many kisses- all of which we DIDN'T catch on camera! That's how it always happens! We have had non stop visitors- between the nurses and many family and friends. We are looking forward to some rest now and can't wait to see all our new visitors tomorrow! She is so precious we couldn't keep her to ourselves any longer!

One week and counting!

In one week we will have a new baby girl! We are slowly getting ready. Although I am not sure you can be 100 percent ready for a baby. Well laid plans and all. Kyleigh is ready for "baby Piper" she has helped us put together all the little baby gear. And she stills likes to put her baby dolls to nap in the crib. Right now she is taking a bath and it sounds like her Daddy might be having too much fun. That usually means a lot of water on the floor for later! Giggling is good...

Happy Halloween...I am a Duckie!

We went Trick or Treating yesterday. Kyleigh was the cutest duckie ever! she loved getting candy in her pumpkin. She had so much fun. At one house the man who answered the door said "look at the cute chicken!" Kyleigh yelled "I am a duckie! Quack Quack!" It was very funny! Even the man laughed! We are in the countdown stages for Piper. We have 3 weeks as of today until she arrives. We are all very excited.
